چکیده
The boring operation is a very critical manufacturing process which created surface roughness, tool wear, noise and vibration related problems. A deep internal boring operation in a workpiece is a classic example of chatter-prone machining. This review focuses on study of new damping composite materials for boring tool and introduces new advance viscoelastic materials for vibration attenuation purpose. This study also focuses Various damping techniques such as active damping and passive damping system and also an optimal selection of the parameters of a passive vibration dampers. This review introduces mechanics of boring process which affect tool wear, noise, surface roughness and hence influence on important factors such as productivity, production costs, etc. The main objective of the study is attenuation of vibration in boring bar by using passive dampers. This study will enhance the design of boring bar with ViscoElastic materials with reference to different machining parameters such as length to diameter ratio (L/D), Speed, feed, Depth of cut etc. The computed results on Experimental Modal Analysis, Machining Test and Surface Roughness will be compared to a conventional tool. Keywords— Boring bar, Vibration Attenuation, Composite Materials, Passive Damping, EMA Analysis.

Hierarchical semi-active control of base-isolated structures using a new inverse model of magnetorheological dampers
Magnetorheological (MR) dampers have received special attention as semi-active devices for mitigation of structural vibrations. Because of the inherent nonlinearity of these devices, it is difficult to obtain a reasonable mathematical inverse model. This paper is concerned with two related concepts. On one hand, it presents a new inverse model of MR dampers based on the normalized Bouc–Wen mode...

Cables, such as are used in cable-stayed bridges, suspension bridges, guy wires, transmission lines, and flexible space structures, are prone to vibration due to their low inherent damping characteristics. The mitigation of cable vibration is necessary to minimize negative impact. Transversely-attached passive viscous dampers have been implemented on some cables to dampen vibration. However, it...

To facilitate the damping matching of dampers for vehicle passive suspensions, this paper proposes an analytical matching method of the optimal piecewise linear damping characteristics curve. Based on the vehicle vibration model, taking the suspension dynamic deflection as the constraint, by the vibration acceleration and the wheel dynamic load, an objective function about the relative damping ...
متن کاملActuator Placements and Variations in the Control Path Estiamtes in the Active Control of Boring Bar Vibrations
A classical example of chatter prone machining is the boring operation. Turning under conditions with high vibrations in the cutting tool deteriorates the surface finish and may cause tool breakage. Severe noise is also a consequence of the high vibration levels in the boring bar. Active control is one possible solution to the noise and vibration problem in boring operations. In boring operatio...
